What shipped

Why it matters
4.5.0 is now the current release with significant improvements to datetime handling and database-specific features. The maintenance cycle has shifted, dropping support for 4.4.x while introducing deprecations that prepare users for future versions.

DBAL 4.5.0 is out. 4.4.x is no longer maintained. Update to the current branch for UTC-aware DateTime types, better index handling, and SQLite WITHOUT ROWID support.
Doctrine DBAL 4.5.0 is now available. The release includes 38 merged pull requests from 10 contributors, bringing UTC-aware DateTime types, improved Db2 primary key index descriptions, and SQLite WITHOUT ROWID table operations. The 4.4.x branch reaches end of life, with 4.5.x now the current supported version and 4.6.x the next minor branch. A maintenance release 4.4.5 also shipped with schema and type handling fixes.
